Gut Health Cliff Notes

I am sure many more posts like these will be following as I learn more and deep dive into my journey of Hashimotos and gut health!

✨I listened to a Podcast a few weeks ago and learned some really interesting things on Gut Health that I thought I might share. At the end of this post is a link to the Podcast if your are interested in listening to the entire episode.

✨Omega 3 and Magnesium are key to healthy gut health.

✨Fiber is also a huge key to healthy gut health, many of us are not consuming enough fiber in their daily diet which has huge negative effects. Chia seeds are an easy way to help increase your fiber intake.

✨Green juice is a good way to help with gut health, doing this on an empty stomach first thing in the morning is a good way to start your day off (this also will not break your fast if you are intermittent fasting)

✨Omega 6 sounds healthy, but it’s the opposite. Many of us are consuming too much omega 6 and not enough omega 3 to off set. Omega 6 is found in pastas, grains, breads, etc. and spike your blood sugar levels.

✨This one was a shock to me, brown rice is worse than white rice. Wild rice, quinoa, and lentils are better options.

✨Switch up your pro-biotic, your body can become immune to it after several months of using the same one.

✨Moving your body on a daily basis does wonders for your gut health and overall health.
