Sunscreen

I have been hesitant on making this post, because change and growth can be uncomfortable! When I make a swap, I don’t want to use a product I don’t love, and this is one I have not found a safe and effective brand that I have fallen in love with. We have tried many of the Zinc formulas which work great…but leave you looking like a ghost and some have stained our patio and patio furniture.

I will be completely honest, I thought the brand we were using was clean, but am finding out that their brand is somewhat guilty of some greenwashing. So I will continue to do research and find good swaps, but sometimes this part is rough! But below are a few things to keep an eye out for.

✨Look for Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Oxide

✨ Avoid retinoids, these end up breaking down into carcinogen compounds in sunlight.

✨ Look for paraben free and phthalate free.

✨ No oxybenzone, this is a hormone disruptor

✨ SPF should be 30+ and protect against both UVA and UVB.
